I see that there are two (2) ferries to catch between Wales and Dublin. We plan to stay on two nights. What is the difference between the ferries and is it worth the trouble.

What part of Wales are you visiting?
We were in southern Wales and flew from Bristol to Dublin (1 hour flight).

Either ferry could be suitable if you really like boats and have plenty of time -- as in at least one whole day by the time you get yourself to and from the ferry docks, wait for the boat to weigh anchor and come into port. If you simply want to get from the island of Great Britain to the island of Ireland, flying will almost always be the best value in terms of money and use of precious vacation time.
