July trip to Ireland. Family trip to be planned around father/daughter golf tournament in Rosapena( 4 nights in Roasapena). Plan fly into Dublin then travel to Galway to Donegal to Rosapenna to Belfast then Dublin. Flying out of Dublin. Considering Westport over Galway. Thoughts would be appreciated. 12 days with 2 travel Days

IMHO Westport is nicer than Galway. I loved the village, the river running through it, and the bars and restaurants. I don't know why, but Galway just didn't appeal. Too much graffiti, too many people, teenagers drinking everywhere I went. It was more a good place to stop to take ferry out to Innishmore than a destination to enjoy.
