We are a family of adults arriving in Dublin on July 8th. We will be renting a car and driving direct to Galway. We are staying two nights in Galway. While there we would like to visit Connemara and the surrounding area. From there, our intention is to drive to the Cliffs and other sights. We would like like to stay in or near Kilkenney but are very open to suggestions for this area. We have scheduled two nights here as well before heading to Dublin for three nights and departing on the 15th. Looking for any suggestions on routes, activities and stays around Kilkenney. Thanks!

We did a quick drive through a couple of years ago and kick myself because it only left me wanting more!
We arrived south of Dublin on a ferry (we had a car) and stayed just one night in Kilkenny. One night in the tiny town of Dingle which I absolutely loved and still yearn to go back. We did part of the Ring of Kerry drive, which is beautiful. Then headed up to Galway for one night and one night in Dublin. My husband had already been, so we just did a quicky there. We were in Great Britain for a month including the four nights in Ireland. Would love to go back and spend more time. In Dublin we just had time for the hop off/hop on bus, which was nice because it took us around the city. I use booking.com for all my accommodations. Last year, I was helping a family plan a trip to Paris and Ireland and found a real cool place near the Cliffs of Mohr which was like camping in fancy tents. They ended up not taking the trip because one passport did not arrive in time.
