Weather for second week of October

Hello: We are planning an October trip to Ireland, probably the second week. Can anyone give us a basic idea of what the weather is generally like then? Thanks.

We were in Ireland last July, it rained at least a bit most days. Our friends were there the first part of October, it rained at least a bit most days. I think the general rule of anyone going to Ireland is to take a raincoat and waterproof shoes and if you don’t need them, feel blessed. The country is beautiful shades of green because of the rain. One of my favorite countries, have a great time. For average temps, RS Ireland tour page has the averages by month.

You can use timeanddate.com to find historical weather data for the exact days of your trip in or very near the places you are going.

A bit more fun perhaps is this: Ireland in October: Weather, Tips + Things To Do. It includes the Republic of Ireland as well as Northern Ireland. Be sure to explore the links and the advice.

There are lots of enticing pictures, but a Google Images search for Ireland in October will produce even more. From the ones I've seen, it should be absolutely beautiful that time of year. Your pictures will be breathtaking.

We lived in Dublin for two years and I tell everyone that September and October were my two absolute favorite months for weather! October is gorgeous....chilly, but I never felt like it was as misty as other months! The chill and the gorgeous color of the leaves always made Dublin the ideal autumn city, in my opinion.
