Vodafone eSIM for Ireland?

Has anyone used a Vodafone eSIM when traveling to Ireland?

My last few trips there I've had to get physical SIMs after arriving and last year we first stopped in the Maynooth Vodafone store but, because of system problems, they couldn't sell me one and we had to make another stop at a Vodafone store in Mullingar.

not having to go into a store would be great.

Not opposed to calling Vodafone there to find out if necessary.

Yes, you are correct! The whole point of an eSim is being able to download an app, pay online, and not have to go to a store. I think the OP was asking if Vodaphone in Ireland sells eSims.

Alas, I do not know. I use Airalo and their eSims work like a charm. Not sure why the OP wants Vodaphone in particular.

Vodafone sells tourist eSIMs (data only) and uses their own dedicated network in Ireland. Check their website for plans and prices. Their plans covers multiple countries in Europe. If you need voice and text capability you can check other eSIM providers.
