My husband and I will not rent a car in Ireland. We must use public transport.
Has anyone done the following trip using public transport?
If so, please respond with your thoughts/experiences.
Dublin to Kilkenny.
Kilkenny to Cork.
Cork to Kenmare
Kenmare to Dingle.
Dingle to Ennis.
Ennis to Aran Islands
Aran Islands to Galway
Galway to Dublin.

There is a new website called Transport for Ireland, which is a central planner for all public transport in Ireland.
Try out all of your routes there.

Try the Irish Rail website at www.irishrail.ie. My daughter and I are spending time in Ireland in May . . renting a house in Limerick where there is a station nearby from which we plan to travel to both Dublin and Galway. No worries about the drive itself, operation of a car on the "wrong" side of the road, etc. not to mention the price of gas.
