Hello -
We are looking at ways to get to Ireland from Iceland in late October. One option is WOW air (Reykjavik to Dublin) on a 6am flight. Are there any overnight ferries that are available that go from from ICE to IRE?
Thanks!
Neil

Ferries to Iceland are few and far in between. The seas between the British Islands and Iceland are very rough, so it would not make for a very comfortable journey either. I am not aware of any ferry service from Ireland and in any case it would take some 25-30h to complete the trip at normal sailing speeds at the area.
The only ferry to Iceland is from Denmark via the Faroes. Details here: http://www.smyrilline.com/sailing-schedule
Depart Hirtshals (Denmark) 11:30 Tuesday, arrive Seyðisfjörður (Iceland) 08:30 Thursday!
I think you have to fly.
P.S. I had to copy-paste Seyðisfjörður, I don't have those letters on my keyboard :-)
I did it the opposite way.
You can fly Icelandair to Glasgow and switch planes to Dublin.
Thank you all for the replies. Definitely going to find a flight. Choppy waters and the length of time on the ferry make it an easier choice! Another flight option I am looking at is an Icelandair flight to Belfast then rent a car and drive around. :)
