My relatives came from there in the 1800's. Anybody been there and is it easy to get to. Did try to put some feelers out but so far really no luck.
Also ,where to pick up rental car outside Dublin? Easy or hard? We love to do things outside groups and on own But always take Steve with us!!!! And follow His suggestions!!!

I think Rosscarberry is fairly close to Cork city (maybe 30 or 40 miles?) so it should be an easy trip from there. I am guessing you are flying into Dublin but don't want to get a car there? But in fact Dublin to Cork is motorway pretty much the whole way so you might be comfortable doing that. Or if not, you could get a car in Cork city. I have not been to Rosscarberry (and I'm Irish!) but it's in a lovely part of the country. Enjoy your trip!
