Traveling between Waterford and Kinsale. What to see?

It is only a short drive, two hours, and , honestly, I do not remember anything in particular. The west coast is where the beauty is found.

Haven't been, but have heard good things about Cobh.

Middleton Distillery is a great stop. Cobh is nice too, there's an immigrant museum where the Titanic left from.

We enjoyed our afternoon in Cobh in fact we went back again several years later. The view from St. Colmans is beautiful. We did not enjoy the Titanic exhibit though but the history of the town is well worth it. The Liusitania sank there and the townspeople went out to help rescue any survivors. Be sure to see the status of Annie Moore at the harbor. She was first person to enter Ellis island. You can take the car ferry over to Kinsale. If is worth it especially if weather cooperates. Enjoy Ireland. Conde nast travel magazine just listed Cobh on their best 25 best small villages in Europe.

Stop in Ardmore - there is a Michelin starred restaurant at the Cliff House hotel. The Cliff walk, the Ardmore round tower, various ruins, and the beaches are all worth a visit

We enjoyed our stop in Cobh and the Jameson Distillery tour in Midleton was really interesting, even for a non-whiskey drinker like me (although I did enjoy the complimentary Jameson & Ginger at the end of the tour). If you do go through Midleton be sure and stop to see Kindred Spirits, the Choctaw Memorial created to express gratitude to the Choctaw nation for assistance during the great famine. It's a wonderful story, well worth researching.

There is not much between those two locations as responses have pointed out. And let me warn you that Kinsale was a fishing village with a natural beauty of location. Today it is heavily touristed. From Kinsale west the coast line gets prettier as you continue on. Beara Pennisula is a beauty. In land a bit is Gogane Barra. Schull and Bantry. Good places.
