Travel from Sligo to Westport

Have you tried using googlemaps?

I just plugged in Sligo to Westport and got several options.

For example, one option was:
1) Bus from Sligo to Ballina
2) Train from Ballina to Westport with a change in Manulla Junction.

I typically use googlemaps to give me an idea of the routing options but then I go to the websites for the train and buslines to verify the schedules.

Googlemaps shows other options with bus only.

Various bus/bus or bus/rail routes are available.

You will see routes run by Bus Feda (a local independent) TfI Ireland (subsidised local routes), and Citylink Ireland as well as Bus Eireann.

Rail routes include bus to Ballina, train to Manulla Junction (an exchange station only, no external public access), change for Westport or bus to Ballyhaunis then direct train.

So quite a choice of routes.

Thank you for the information. I also got lots of options but when I plugged in date/time that is where things went awry.
But, I will try google maps and the other links.
I appreciate your quick reponses and should be able to navigate from here :)
