Hi, we are traveling in late May from Dingle to Galway and planning to stop in Lahinch for lunch, tour the Cliffs of Moher, drive through the Burren and head on to Galway. I read this in RS book as an option but not sure how long the drive and stops would be through the Burren and estimate of time we would arrive in Galway. We will be leaving Dingle between 8 and 9 am. Any help much appreciated!
Thanks.
I’d give yourself 3.5 hours from Dingle to Lahinch. Hour for lunch. 20 minutes to Cliffs. Hour to walk around. So it’s around 2:30 or later. 40 minutes to The Burren. Hour or hour and half to explore. Then another 1.5 to Galway.
Long day.
thank you. very helpful! it is a long day but our day before and after are relatively easier, so that should make up for it!
We left Dingle at 9 am.. drop to Bunratty castle. Had lunch and walked around.. stayed 2 hours, drove to the Cliffs and stayed about 1 hour. We pulled in to Galway about 7;30
We took the same route and saw the same sights. Made it to Galway in time for a late dinner. Long day but worth it.
Thanks Sharon and Kathy! You have relieved some of my concern. Really looking forward to our trip!
