In September we will be driving from Dingle to Galway seeing the Cliffs on the way. While in Galway I would like a day long tour. Would like to see the Cliffs from below, weather permitting, some time on one of the Aran islands ( Tomas O'Brian appears to be a popular guy if I can find him) and anything else I can fit into it. Any of your thoughts would be most welcomed. Also, while in Galway itself, what should we not miss? We have two nights there.
While in Galway look up the Crane Pub. They have a room upstairs just for music (the listening room), and often have some of Irelands best traditional musicians in for an evening ( I think it may be Wednesdays only). It's an extra cost (I think it was 8 euros at the time), but well worth it because it is a small venue. You can do a day trip to the Inishmore from Galway, and if not that then the Connemara region and Kylemore Abbey, or the Burren and the Cliffs.
Bange - Check out Galway Tour Company. Our family used them for tours to Cliffs of Moher & Burren and Connemara & Cong. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I thought their prices were very resonable and they picked us up and dropped us off at the B&B where we were staying.
