Hello
We will be in Dublin the first week of September and have 4 days in Dublin. I know it is time to reserve places like Guiness Tour, Book of Kells and a day trip to Galway. Is this now enough time to reserve these places as these are the top 3 places. There are 4 adults two of us are seniors. Any advice on where to book as there are a few different tour groups and packages online. Thank you in advance , Val
When we were in Dublin, the one tour we had booked was a Jameson Cocktail Making Class. It was really fun. We had previously toured a whiskey factory in Scotland so we chose this as an alternative. Everyone got to be a mixologist for a few hours with a whole cocktail making set up for each person. If you're into whiskey at all, I recommend it.
Bookings are open for the Guinness Storehouse and Book of Kells for September. Both are booked directly with the venue.
I'm not sure why anyone would make a day trip to Galway, but the train goes there. Maybe you could be more specific in what it is you're looking for.
I can recommend a tour guide if that helps. He was the guide on my Rick Steves' tour of Ireland in 2018 and is wonderful. Here is the link for Dara: https://www.daramccarthy.com/dublin-tours/
