I have been trying to find a tour that includes both Newgrange and Trim Castle with an overview of the Boyne Valley out of Dublin.
I could only find a very expensive private tour that included both. There are some that I believe pass the sites but we wanted to actually visit both. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
Most tours do Newgrange and Hillof Tara, but I have found one that includes both Newgrange and Trim Castles.

This says "Visit Newgrange," so you would need to check that it does actually include visiting Newgrange itself and not just the visitor centre. You do however visit "4 Knocks , a passage chamber tomb built around about 5,000 years ago. Enter the tomb and see some of the early inscriptions on the stones inside." This is a few miles south east of Newgrange and doesan't feature on the tourist tick list, so may well be a better experience than Newgrange itself and an acceptable substitute. (When I visited a few years ago, there were so many people on the tour you could hardly see a thing inside Newgrange.)
Information about 4 knocks here.
Thanks so much for this information. I had run across this tour myself but your insight on Newgrange has me reconsidering going there!
I must admit I'd not heard about 4knocks before I found this itinerary. It sounds a very sensible alternative to what is a very popular and busy site. I got quite excited when I read the itinerary!
