Too aggressive of an itinerary??

We are arriving in Shannon on Thursday April 20th and departing from Dublin on the 28th. We have been before and did a southern Ireland trip. Now we want to do the rest of the coast. Is the following trip reasonable?

Day One: Arrive in Shannon. Drive the Dingle and sleep in Adare overnight.
Day Two and Three: Piddle in Adare in the AM and drive towards Clifden. Spend two nights. While there tour in Galway and surrounding area. Open for suggestions.
Day Four: Drive to Sligo for overnight. Not sure what to do there.
Day Five and Six: Drive to Donegal for two nights and tour area. Castles, rope bridge, etc.
Day Seven: Drive to Belfast for one night. Do Titanic Museum.
Day Eight: Drive to Dublin for one night. Tour Guiness Factory etc
Day Nine: Depart

Is that too much distance for one trip? If so we would possibly skip the night in Sligo if the drive from Clifden to northern Donegal wasn't too bad. Or other option is skip the Dingle but dont really want to. Thoughts?

It does sound like a lot of rushing from one destination to the next. Since you are not wedded to Sligo, I'd say skip it.

It sounds a little rushed to me, but only you can know what's most important to you.

I'd spend two nights in Dublin and Belfast, but that's just me. Again - it depends on what is important to you to see.

We have done Dublin before, hence only one night there. And we like the countryside most, hence only one night in Belfast. I will skip Sligo I think and and look at the itinerary again. Any other suggestions please let me know! Thanks.

Way too aggressive for me. Day 1 for example, Driving from Shannon to Dingle, doing the Dingle tour, having lunch and then driving back to Adare is way too much after flying all night. It's just not safe, but that's just my thought. If you are use to doing this and like it then ok But this is coming from someone that spent 3 weeks on the Dingle peninsula on one trip and 2 weeks on another. We like to have a home base and do day trips. Packing up and moving every day or so is too much like work. :)

I agree, this looks like a lot, especially day one. From where are you flying? What time to you arrive in Shannon? I haven't truly been to Ireland, so take this with a grain or two of salt, but the worst jet-lag I've ever had was flying into Dublin for a one-day layover (it was cheaper to fly to Dublin and then take a cheap European flight to Poland, where I was living at the time, and friends offered up their couch). I landed at 5:30AM, which was 11:30PM to me, and ended up walking through Dublin in a fog (I remember nothing but a few images) and falling asleep on the train. So I agree with hmcpeake - driving that far on no sleep is dangerous. I also wonder how much you'll get out of simply driving the Dingle Peninsula, especially on the first day. It feels more like you want to check it off, rather than actually see it and experience it. Since the rest of the trip seems geared towards the north, perhaps focus on that? Maybe try to get as far as Galway on the first day and then head to Clifden on day two, as planned?
