How far in advance do I need to get tickets for these tours in Dublin? I'm traveling in May.
I'd like to schedule these tours on the same day. Is there an obvious choice of which one to do in the morning vs. afternoon?
Thank you.
Tickets sell out quickly. Check the website to keep an eye on how they release tickets for specific dates, and I would choose it for the first time slot in the morning. They are currently selling the week of March 23. That's 3 weeks out; though I had heard 28 days out.
We took the tour as part of a RS tour, so we had a private tour prior to the first public tour of the day. Then we were the only ones in the museum which was nice; so I think the earliest available tour would be the best.
For both, timing is critical, although there are day of tour tickets available if there are no-shows. Do a test booking to see how far in advance tickets are available, and don't overlook that websites are updated at 12am GMT, so you should look right then.
We paired Kilmainham with Guinness -- very walkable distance between the two. That being said, Guinness wasn't my favorite but the views were great on a sunny day. We spent a different day hitting the many sights around Trinity.
