Last fall we hired a taxi 4 day trip out of Athens to sites on the peninsla of Greece, It was in Rick's guidebook. Does anyone know if there are similar offerings in Ireland ? Thanks, Hank, Novato CA

We used https://www.beautifulmeath.com for a one day private tour out of Dublin last year. Derek, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. I can't remember our actual driver's name but he was very good, informative and accomodating. From the website it looks like they offer multiple day tours. By the way, Derek was recommended to me by Lisa Tully, a RS tour guide.

Hank, thanks for your question, and Trotter, thanks for your reply. This is a question that comes up from time to time, and I've bookmarked it for future reference.
We've always traveled on our own in Ireland with a car, but I've come to appreciate the value of a local to add insight and history. For us in Ireland, it has usually ben a cousin or a friend. Maybe in the future, we will avail ourselves of a local guide for the depth of local experience.
It's been 10 years since we've been to Ireland, but were there 5 times in the previous 9 years. It's one of the places we want to get back to, when we can.
