Do you recommend using the Uber or FreeNow app in Dublin and Belfast to get a taxi? If so, which one? I'll need to get a taxi from the airport to our Dublin hotel, our Dublin hotel to the Kilmainham Gaol Museum and back, Corrs hotel which is outside Belfast into Belfast and probably one or more while getting around Belfast.
I found the taxi service in Dublin to be fine. We took taxi from the airline queue to our hotel. Surprisingly reasonable. I asked our hotel to arrange an early morning pickup to the airport. Again, no issues.
Ride share services like uber do not exist in Dublin. The app will work but will call you a cab for an additional premium. There is a taxi rank outside the terminals in Dublin. It’s about 30-35 euros to Dublin City centre. Look
For a taxi rank once in Dublin. You don’t hail cabs as you might on New York or DC. Or ask your hotel. There is a taxi rank across the street from kilmainham Gail.
In Belfast, you can use FonaCab: https://fonacab.com/
You see them everywhere, they are one of the main taxi companies.
