Any info on taxi rates in Dublin?
I was staying at the Grand Canal Hotel with a few friends. We were all leaving at different times, so getting a taxi together wasn't going to work. We asked 4 different times with 4 different clerks at the front desk, Got 22 euros, 28 euros, 35 euros, and "they charge whatever they want". Only the first person said that she'd get us a set price of 22 euros.
I ended up using air coach to the airport.
I used the Aircoach.
I felt is was very reasonable. I believe it was between 7 and 8.5 euros each way. They do have the options to purchase a round trip fare.

I also understand that you can make a reservation online too. I didn't do that.
When in town, we used a taxi twice. One taxi went in a very round about way and charged 15 euros, while on the same route, but reverse, we were charged 8 euros.
Hope this helped.
Thanks for the input. I actually googled the taxi rates for rides we will be taking from point to point and came up with the fares that should be charged.
This is an interesting article about getting a ride in Dublin.
