We land in Shannon in the first week of September early Sunday morning. Once we pick up our rental car our first task will be to find a nice location for a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast. Is there a nearby town you would suggest? We know that many places are closed on Sunday, so will try to plan this item in advance. Thanks for any suggestions.

We will be wanting to do the same sort of thing. Or at least a strong coffee before our drive to Cork. So the above is what I tried first.

I can't recommend a restaurant that is open on Sunday for breakfast because we were there on a weekday. But I can recommend Ennis as a good stopping place. There are lots of restaurants so I'm sure you can find one open for breakfast on Sunday and it's a lovely town to wander around and explore the Abbey ruins.
