Suggestions for Time in Dublin Before Catching Train

My family (myself, wife and children 12 and 7) will be arriving in Dublin by plane on a Saturday in March. Our plane is scheduled to land at 9:45 am. We have a train to catch leaving Dublin from Heuston Station at 3:15 pm that day. I understand there is no left luggage at Heuston, but we will get from the airport to downtown (we are ok carrying our bags for a bit if we can't find a place to store them) and we will be looking to stretch our legs, have some lunch and relax before catching our train. Parks, open spaces or nice areas to be active would seem to fit that brief time period well. Any suggestions for spending some time in Dublin before catching our train?

Thanks for any insights!

P.S. We will be coming back to spend 4 nights in Dublin a few days later as part of this same trip before flying home, so we will have time to see more of the city itself.

Someone with this same question earlier said they found the answer to the problem through this website. I didn't check it out but you might give it a look for an answer for a temp storage locker.
