Suggestions for serviced hotel apartments please

Hello
Samantha from Canada here

Last fall we toured Great Britain for 39 days ( hubby and I and my Mom 72). We loved it.

We found that what suited us the most was travel a few days then stay somewhere for 3 days then move on. When staying somewhere 3 to 4 days and doing day trips, my mom and hubby took a real liking to Serviced apartment hotels that had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a washer dryer. We found it really helped to not pack so much and make our own breakfast was a awesome plus.

I know most people would say just Airbnb but we did not enjoy that so much.

We are planing on a month in Ireland in October/November 2019. We think we would like to stay 3 to 4 nights per stop and day trip around each area.

So I’m staring to research places that would match with that.

Cork, Dublin, Belfast, Waterford, Galway, Derry or others
Not sure of all the stops yet. Probably base our route on Rick’s recommended route.

I am asking for your recommendations for stops anywhere in Ireland that you think would be good bases to explore an area and mostly if you can recommend good serviced apartments in those areas.

Thank you all for any help you can give.

Samantha. Dreaming of Ireland each night.

Aside from the usual suspects at booking.com and VRBO, we had very good luck during our last trip using https://www.shamrockcottages.co.uk/. We booked several places with them during our own trip.
Haven't used them myself (yet) but during my past research I found these websites that might also be of interest: https://www.irishlandmark.com/ and https://www.oneoffplaces.co.uk/Ireland. Both seem to have some interesting self-catering places.

We were thinking less one off places and more like Hotel/Apartments because my hubby has mobility issues and the bathrooms at the corporate run places tend to be better than at an Airbnb type place.

But I will take a look at the ones you suggested. Might find a gem. Thank you.

I believe that one of the selectable filters on booking.com includes accessibility options. You might check there to see if that feature would help focus your search.
One thought: after identifying a prospective accommodation on any of the search engines (including booking.com) do a Google search to find the website for the individual property to see if a better deal can be had by booking with them directly.
