OK hive mind! We're needing to rework our itinerary to accommodate scheduling of our friends in Dingle. Our current plan had been roughly
20-24 May: Dublin incl Glendalough (4 nights)
25 May: stop one night en route to Bantry (1 night)
26-28 May: base in Bantry for Beara and w. Cork area (3 nights)
29-31 May: short visits to family in Cahersiveen and Castleisland (3 nights)
1-3 June: Dingle (3 nights)
4-5 June: Fleadh Nua festival in Ennis (2 nights)
6-11 June: Donegal county (6 nights)
12-14 June: Giants Causeway and Belfast (3 nights)
15-17 June: Dublin (2 nights)
I've thought of these options (we'll have a car, pickup/turn in at Dublin):
Easiest - move Dingle 2 days later and skip Fleadh Nua festival
Move Dingle 2 days earlier and rework the days visiting family
Move Dingle 2 days earlier and skip Giants Causeway/Belfast
Very open to other suggestions also!
Not planning on seeing a lot on ROK just going to Cahersiveen and maybe the Skellig loop at the end. Want to keep the number of nights in Donegal bc of doing family research etc. I could easily skip the northern Ireland piece but my partner really wants to see GC, (more open to skipping Belfast). Probably we need both of the last 2 nights in Dublin just b/c we're booked at Clontarf Castle hotel and have to be at airport at 8am, want time to enjoy that experience.
Thank you!
