Student pricing at attractions - what proof is required?

We homeschool, so I'm wondering if my 16 year old daughter's photo driver permit will suffice for the student pricing, or if I should print and laminate some sort of official-looking student ID for her.

In Europe, most places that offer 'student discounts' for minors do so on basis of age, not student ID. A passport will suffice.

Cases where a student ID is required often mean only local/domestic students enrolled in educational institutions at the relevant city or country can take advantage of the discount/offer in question.

Currently in Ireland with my 16 year old. As previous have said, went by age rather than student id. I believe a student card is more intended for college students.
