Hello! I have one night left to book on my 9 days in Ireland and I'm struggling a bit. We will be relying on public transportation first week of October, spending two nights in Dublin, then two nights in Galway with a night to spend along route and then two nights in Dingle then back to Dublin. Going straight from Galway to Dingle seems a bit much, so we would like to spend one night South of Galway a bit to give us a "head start" on the travel and stopover in one more city. Any suggestions of where to stopover for a night would be greatly appreciated, ideally somewhere with bus routes passing through! Thank you!
I just returned from Galway and Dingle. I loved both cities and I did the local bus from Galway to Dingle with changes in Limerick and Tralee and it takes a little over 5 hours but you go thru some great little towns like Adare. So I would not stop for a night but spend that time in Dingle but that is me.
I flew into Dublin, took the CityLink bus to Galway and it was just 2 hours. I flew out of Shannon so I did stay an day and night in Ennis which is a lovely city with great music and it's close to the Cliffs.
Since you leave from Dublin, maybe you get to Dingle first and then get to Galway and then you can get back in 2 hours to Dublin. Just a thought.
You have picked 2 great locations!

Thanks for the feedback! We are thinking about just tacking on an extra night to Dingle as everyone keep saying how amazing it is! Hope you had a great trip, looking forward to going!
