I will be flying into Dublin and looking for accommodations for two days. Anyone know if there are areas where you WOULDNT want to stay, as in safety. I'm on a budget so I'm looking at hostels and Airbnb. Ive looked at some places, but I don't know the area and if it's a "safe" neighborhood.
Greetings from Ireland
Theres basically nowhere in Dublin that you wouldnt want to stay, theres certainly some areas that are socially deprived, low-level crime is moderately high and there can be a few youths who might be intimidating (as in many cities), but its unlikely you'd end up in any of these areas for your accommodation.
Try to book somewhere central, then you'll be able to go around on foot. If you want to book somewhere and aren't sure of the location, just shoot me a private message and I'll give you the thumbs-up/thumbs-down via cyberspace.
Theres a 95% chance it'll be thumbs up.
Enjoy my capital city.
Slainte/good health

We used Tipperary House to store our luggage for the day while we toured Guinness. It was close to Heuston Station and Guinness Storehouse. I do not know about the hostel itself but it was close to those attractions. You might look at tripadvisor for recommendations as well.
