Staying in Cashel?

My daughter and I are from New York and are currently traveling all over Ireland, ending in Dublin. We are in Kinsale tonight, and are heading to Rock of Cashel in the morning. We are looking for a place to stay tomorrow night near Cashel as we are due in Dublin the morning after that. We should be done with Rock of Cashel around 5PM, would it be worth to stay in Cashel or should we head on towards Dublin? Does anyone have any suggestions? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

If you decide to stay in Cashel here are a few suggestions.

We stayed at The Cashel Lodge (was once a stone grain warehouse) which is a self-catering B&B. We had our daughter with us and were able to get a lovely clean room that accommodated the 3 of us. We did not have breakfast there, and I'm not sure that is an option. It is across the street from Hore Abbey which sits below the ROC. There is Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen and conference room all that you can use. www.cashel-lodge.com

For a bit pricer place there is Joy's Rockside House B&B which is very close to the ROC. tel. # is 062/63813 or www.joyrockside.com or joyrocksidehouse@eircom.net

We had dinner at a restaurant called Bailey's Hotel and Restaurant in Cashel. You could also check there to see if they have accommodations available. I can recommend a great meal at the restaurant but have not stayed there so can not comment on that.
Hope this helps.

We stayed on a sheep farm just outside of Cashel, called Rahard Lodge. They let our kids hold the new lambs, too.

We stayed at the Baiiey Hotel and had dinner in the restaurant. I would highly recommend both. Conveniently in center of Cashel. Parking about 1/2 block away. Check in before going to the Rock to get discount coupon. We failed to do this.
