Spiral driving guide for archeological and ancient sites

Hi- I am finally planning a month long trip from the USA with my gf in July. We both love all things archeological and ancient and I am hoping someone out there has a solution for us:

We want to drive around and casually explore all the amazing archeological sites Ireland has, without having to PLAN a whole lot and I thought an OSI guide might be the ticket if there is such a thing. I have several maps for Mayo but we will be in Donegal, Portumna Galway ,Dingle (We know Dingle has a ton so we aren't concerned about that area) and Limerick area as well, and the OSI maps I have are HUGE, so they are very cumbersome to use in a car, and we would have to buy a ton of maps on top of that. I already have driving maps but we want one that has the ancient and archeological sites included.
I know you will say-get a GPS/PHONE, but they use mostly Google road maps I believe (not the sights that are little known that we want to explore) are just as awkward to use for these off the beaten path delights.
Is there a spiral bound book that has the entire country that includes all these sites?
Do you have another solution for us?
Many thanks,
Diane

Don't know about a spiral bound guide but these are 2 really well done websites. Voices From The Dawn has VR photographs that allow you to explore sites from many angles. Also, it has a function to plug site locations in Google maps. The curator of the site has personally visited or studied the sites so the maps are accurate. The Megalithic Ireland site has driving directions to many sites but I can't vouch for their accuracy.

I think most sights are visible on Google Maps if your are zoomed in enough. While I drive our planned route, my wife uses her phone and Google Maps at max zoom to find all sorts of places that are within a few miles, and she forces me to divert.

I retract most of the above after examining the Megalithic website !
