Hi! I am going to Ireland (around Dublin) and Wales with my mother, 4 year old, and 9 month old in October to visit my brother and his family who live outside of Dublin. My brother is turning 40 and my mom is going to turn 70. I would like to to plan something unique to celebrate their birthdays (like a fancy dinner in a castle, a special tour, or something like that).
Does anyone have any suggestions for something special for this wide range of ages?

Unless this is supposed to be a complete surprise, does your brother have preferences and suggestions? We really enjoyed traditional music at The Cobblestone Pub on the west side of Dublin, although we we didn’t eat there, and I don’t think there were children 9 months old there at the time. Not a huge place, not certain about food or available space, but on west side of Dublin it was outstanding, if even for a short stop-in.
Tea at the Shelbourne hotel would be nice
I was in Dublin for my Birthday in July. My wife and I went to a restaurant on Dublin that was a former church. The main floor was a bar with stage for small band and dancers. The balcony was the restaurant portion. The food was incredible. I don’t remember the name but it was north of the Liffey and a short walk from Temple Bar area.
