Southwest/Last Minute Itinerary

Looking for input. We will be leaving Dublin on a Sunday afternoon, heading southwest. I’d like to do the Ring of Kerry, visit Dingle, head north visiting Dromartin, Ballyduff, Ballybunion, Glin, and hoping for a day trip to Inismore and around the Cliffs of Moher by boat. We have family in Tulla, who have offered their house. Any thoughts on the Ring of Kerry? I know it is large and I was going to skip it altogether but now I’m thinking I don’t want to miss out. We’ll be leaving for Shannon Airport early Friday morning.

Tull isn't the best base if wanting to do Ring of Kerry... It's a couple of hours drive from Tulla to get there. The drive itself is going to take 3.5 hours plus any stops, longer if wanting to see anything of Killarney and the Park. That is going to be a long day.

Have you thought about spending time exploring the Burren area instead. With its limestone scenery it is completely different to anywhere else in Ireland. The drive along the coast past Kinvarra with its castle, Ballyvaughan, Black Head poiunt and then throiugh Fannore to Doolin and Liscannor is well worth doing. Then trickle your way back inland back to Tulla,

Adare is a very pretty small village and worth adding to the list on the Dromartin, Ballyduff, Ballybunion, Glin day, even though it is a bit of a tourist homneypot.
