Socrail tickets

I want to book train tickets out of Glasgow to Troon. I thought the window was 90 days but it looks like it may be 70. Any thoughts?

First thought is to post this in the Scotland section. You''ll get more responses.

If they're not available yet the only option is to wait until they become available.

Or buy them on the day at the station - there's no advantage in buying them weeks or months ahead.

There are no advance fares to Troon. Just anytime day tickets.

There is no point to buying ahead- buy at Glasgow Central on the day of travel, they are the same price. That way if your plans change you are covered. No train on that route has assigned seats- sit anywhere.

But in Rick's books and other on line sources there is a lot of out of date information about how far ahead train tickets are available. But to equally be fair it varies by train company so is almost impossible to precis into the space limitations of a guide book.

Thanks for the responses. So sorry I posted on the wrong country. We are planning on doing both and forgot to check before I posted. I will keep waiting for when they open up.
