Slea head drive for the fearful

I don't recall anything particularly scary about the drive, and my wife would have definitely let me know whether she was feeling uncomfortable at any point.
You can preview the drive by using the street view feature on Google Maps - it'll give you a driver's-eye view of the route, including all of its twists and turns.
Time permitting consider a stop at the pier at Dunquin. If you walk down the path to the bottom you'll see several curraghs hauled out on the beach, which we thought was pretty cool.

I sat in the front seat of the RS tour bus on this drive and I don't recall being scared of heights but rather scared for the driver having to navigate a tall bus through such tiny, curvy roads with rock cliff faces (such as shown in the google snip from joe32f) and oncoming traffic. In a car with someone else driving I would probably find it much more relaxing.

Thanks to all for replies. I did it! Connor Pass a little difficult but gorgeous. Driver said about 10-15 min of “cliffy “ road. Would do again but took me extra prayers to get through.

Slea Head is well protected with stone walls and guard rails. The "scary-ness" is that it's a single lane with lots of blind curves and few passing places. Oncoming traffic can be a challenge when it's crowded.
