Sites between Belfast and Dublin

In early June, we will finish our RS 14 day Ireland tour in Belfast. We have a full day to travel from Belfast to the Dublin Airport before flight back to the USA the next day. We already have scheduled a day trip to Newgrange & Boyne Valley before our RS tour begins. And an extra day in Belfast. We are planning to hire a private car. What places should we visit? Is there an especially scenic route to take?

Trim has a surprisingly large castle. It was where we stayed for visiting Boone Valley sights over two days, as well as the night before we flew home from Dublin.
