So my wife and I have a wedding to go to at the end of sept. The wedding is just outside Slane.
For the wedding Sunday and Monday we are staying at a B&B associated with the wedding. However the Friday and Saturday we have nothing plannned. We fly into Dublin at 1pm on the Friday.
This is at the beggining of a 3 month trip to Europe and as such, we’re trying to save as much money as possible, and as a result we are likely looking to leave Dublin on public transit after we land. (Car rentals are way too crazy, looking at $600 to have a car for the 4 days)
So.. it looks like Drogheda is a much bigger city than Slane, would it be adequate to bum around in for a day and a half? Or should we stay in Slane and bus into Drogheda for a day?
We’ve been to Ireland in 2019 and I’m not crazy about going out and about too far. I’m fine sitting in pubs pounding pints waiting for the wedding to roll around. Any input would be greatly appreciated
