We are flying in to Dublin on 9/8 and meeting my daughter at the Dublin airport. She was in Dublin last summer so does not want to revisit it. She has 3 days to travel with us before she flies out of Shannon on 9/11. We are renting a car and looking for a 3 day doable itinerary that will put us at Shannon at the end of that time. My wife and I will be staying in the country until 9/16 and want to spend 2 or 3 days in Dublin at the end of the trip. We would really like suggestions for the first 3 days and for after we leave Shannon Airport.

This will be a little tough but here are my thoughts:
1) Rent car at airport and head to Kilkenny for the first night, great castle and old town area to see and a amazing church to visit, next afternoon head to Killarney and visit Muckross House and the National park and spend the night in Killarney, next day head to Bunratty and visit the Irish Folk park and attend the Medieval Banquet at the Bunratty castle that night. Next morning take you daughter to Shannon airport (which is less that 15 Km away from Bunratty) and then you and your wife head to Dingle for 2-3 days for a great time. Also consider heading north to Ashford Castle for a truly unforgettable experience!!
PS: I found the Rock of Cashal to be underwhelming and would skip it along with the Blaney stone tourist trap.
