Sept 2024 Itinerary

Please advise if this plan is reasonable. We are two healthy seniors but are not hikers, bikers etc. We travel frequently and have visited Ireland previously driving from Shannon along the coast north through Donegal up to Dunfanaghy down to Monaghan ending in Dublin. This trip we hope to explore the southern coast.

Day 1: Arrive Dublin pick up car drive to Limerick for a quick visit, on to visit Adare sleep at Hazelwood House
Day 2: Drive to Dingle, sleep at Seascapes on Inch Beach.
Day 3: Drive the Ring of Kerry, Castlemaine to Cahersiveen to Caherdaniel ending in Kenmare. Sleep at The Happy Pig
Day 4: Drive to Bantry, Skibbereen, Clonakilty and sleep in Kinsale at Giles Norman Gallery and Townhouse
Day 5 & 6: Drive to Cork City Sleep two nights at the Metropole Hotel Continue to explore Cork area
Day 7: Drive to Waterford via Lismore and Killmeaden (due to ancestry) sleep at the Grandville Hotel
Days 8, 9 &10: Drive along coast up to Dublin. Sleep three nights in Dublin to explore city, hotel to be determined
Is this too ambitious? We only spent a full day in Dublin last time, so I thought we could know that city a bit better.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Cheers!

Are you arriving after a transatlantic flight? Not a good idea to rent a car after a night of no sleep-in foreign land that drives on the opposite side of the road. Furthermore, the steering wheel is also on the opposite side.
Can you fly into or out of Shannon? If not, take a City Link bus from Dublin’s airport to Limerick: https://bookings2.citylink.ie/default.aspx?pickuplocid=16&dropofflocid=61&tickettypeid=1&depdatetime=2023-7-31%200%3A0&isflexdep=true&passangerType1=1 (2h 30m). You can also take a bus from Shannon’s airport to Limerick (45m).
How many nights will you be there?
