Rural Nights Pub Tour in Dublin

Did not know about that one. I took the Literary Pub Crawl and enjoyed it very much.

I took this tour.. we did the long one ( think it was 7 -8 hours) and loved it. We had actually booked the shorter one but about a week before we arrived Shane emailed us and said he made a mistake and would we MIND taking the longer tour for same price !!

So fun.. not a booze cruise like a frat party.. a cultural tour really.. we went to pubs out in the hills that would be very difficult to find on your own with a rental car.. and impossible with public transport. Shane ( host , owener and driver ) was great.. lots of tidbits of information on beer, pubs, and Ireland in general. Some of these pubs were just so darn "quaint". literally burning peat in fireplaces, low ceilings.. just exactly what you would think a 200 yr old pub would look like. Shane seemed to know a lot of locals and they would welcome and chat with us..

Nice vehicle.. like a 15 passenger mini bus.

We are returning next May , this time with our adult daughter and one of our friends and we are taking the tour again!
