Is it safe to run or walk along the Slea Head Drive? Are there shoulders on the road? Or are there other areas in Dingle where we can find running paths, maybe along the sea?
You can preview the route yourself by using the Street View feature on Google maps. What you'll see is a narrow, two lane road with no shoulders to speak of in most places. Combine that with distracted drivers paying more attention to the scenery than they are to you and I think you'd have a very bad combination indeed.
As an alternative consider a run along Inch beach just east of Dingle. The hard packed, broad stretch of sandy beach goes for miles and is easy on the legs if you're looking for a great workout.
For info, Inch beach was featured in the old David Lean movie "Ryan's Daughter" many years ago.
The answer is No.
Thank you both for your responses . I’ll look into Inch Beach 👍
