After several days in Dingle, we're driving up to Galway for a couple of days. Any advice on the route to take for the drive. We'll be leaving Dingle on Oct. 29th. Thanks!
I think you'll find several posts on this subject using the Search feature above. We took the ferry option (from Tarbert across the Shannon). It will probably depend mostly on your interests. We enjoyed the ferry ride and the scenery. If time is of the essence, you may find the route through Limerick to be faster. GoogleMaps or a similar tool will answer that.
Either way, if weather is accommodating and you're OK with narrow roads and steep drop-offs, depart Dingle via the short but spectacular Conor Pass.
We'll be in no particular rush. By then I'll either be comfortable driving in Ireland or in traction somewhere. I think I'd like to go via Conor Pass, but weather will play a role I suppose......same with the Tarbert ferry
