We would like to spend a night on Inishmore. We are hesitant to leave the rental car at the ferry parking lot overnight.
Does anyone have experience with the ferry lot at Rossaveal? Is it secure?

We left our car there without even thinking about a problem. Just don't leave things visible on the seats. Good choice to spend the night as the character changes after the last ferry leaves.

We’ve stayed in Inishmore twice, once by ferry from Rossaveal, and the second time by small Arran Aer plane. If you were to take the plane, which I strongly recommend due to the reliability of the quick flights compared to ferries which can be cancelled due to rough seas, the parking lot at the small Connemara Airport is safe and secure. We left our rental car at that airport (located between Galway and Rossaveal) in 2018, and if we were to visit Inishmore again, I’d take the plane. On both of our trips, return ferries were cancelled or severely delayed due to weather and rough seas. The planes still flew.
