Rock of Cashel deal

We visited the Rock of Cashel yesterday and we got in for free! We took the bus from Cork to Cashel and stopped at a bakery in town for coffee and scones. We spent a little more than 15 euros and we were presented with a coupon that gave free admission for two adults and up to four children. We used it and were admitted with no additional payment. Cost of admission for our family would have been 25 euros. We were in town later and we saw that a number of shops displayed a sign offering the coupon if you spent 15 euros.

My sister and I are in Kilkenny and will be heading to Cashel tomorrow and then to Killarney. Hope we can make it in a day...we seem to get lost easily! I am also not finding it easy driving on the left side. If I had to do it over the train , bus or tour would be the way to go!

We stayed at Joy's Rockside B n B extremely close to the Rock. Really enjoyed it! Nice place and very affordable. It's in Rick Steves' book. Enjoy! And don't miss exploring the ruins down the hill from the Rock ( you will see them from the Rock).

Have fun 👍🏻
