We will be coming from Dingle to Kenmare, staying two nights in Kenmare. My question is,would it be better to go directly to Killarney National Park and Ross Castle from Dingle and drive along to Ladies View and Molls Gap and Torc Waterfall and then do Gap of Dunloe the next day with a tour. Or, should be start the Ring at Killorglin and go around to Kenmare, then do the Gap the following day and maybe after we would have time to see the castle etc. I am torn. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
We drove from Dingle and went to Killarney, checked into our hotel, Killeen House. Since it was still afternoon, we drove to Muckross House and did the tour. The next day, we did Gap of Dunloe. The day after that, we drove the ROK. You can do it either way! Ross castle is just a ruin, fyi.
Thank you, but we only have two days. We are off to Kinsale the third day. That was my dilemma.
Since you are short on time, choices will have to be made. You can do Killarney or ROK, not both. The Ring of Kerry took us All Day and we only made 4 stops, so we felt it was a bit rushed. You can certainly take longer. We left our hotel in Agrahdoe at 8:30am and got back at 5:30pm. We enjoyed the Gap and the Ring, but if I had to choose, I would do the Gap of Dunloe, less driving!
