Sadly, there is no room at the Buswell for us to arrive early for RS 14-day tour. We always need a day to rest and catch up. Can anyone who perhaps faced this problem recommend a hotel within walking distance of the Buswell?

When is your tour and did you contact the hotel directly? The tour hotels usually have rooms available for early arrivals.

We stayed at the Albany House on Harcourt street. It’s about 4 blocks from the Buswells Hotel on the other side of St. Stephen’s Green.

Are you going by the hotel's website? Email or call the hotel directly. Often the websites don't accept reservations that far ahead, showing rooms as "unavailable."
When you call or email, be sure to tell them that you're on a Rick Steves tour, giving the dates.

We will be on a RS tour next September…I emailed Buswells directly, mentioned that we’ll be joining a tour and was able to reserve a room for two nights prior to the start of the tour. They were very accommodating and we’ll hopefully be able to keep the same room.
