Reviews for Epic: Irish Emigration Museum

If you have visited this museum, would you say that it is a must do for two retiree first-timers to Dublin? We have three days there (before heading out for 3 weeks) and wonder if this is something to squeeze into our agenda by eliminating something such as the Archaeology Museum or National Gallery. Thank you!

We would recommend this museum. Most of the exhibits are interactive and it is very informative. My husband is really slow in museums, so I tried to get him through in 1 1/2 - 2 hours. If you are on a RS Tour, ask for the discount. The Archaeology Museum was not as interesting or time consuming. Check Trip Advisor for more reviews.

I found it gave me an understanding of aspects of Ireland's history, especially of the famine period, that I later appreciated visiting other places during the rest of my trip. A number of exhibits have an interactive component that you can spend time with or skip. If you are pressed for time, an hour might be enough.

Thank you for your replies. I've checked TripAdvisor and it gets good reviews, but I wondered if we would really enjoy it at our age. If it is a rainy day, we will likely go!
