Returning to U.S. from DUB to ORD

We will be returning from DUB to ORD and will have pre-cleared customs and immigration at DUB. The flight arrives at terminal 5, the international terminal at ORD. Will we have to go through the whole customs and immigration thing again? How does this work?

No, you exit the airplane through the gate area and walk out through the passenger boarding area, just like a domestic flight. I wondered about that myself until I did it.
