Republic of Ireland government-provided free health coverage for Americans Tourists

Hello friends,

We would greatly appreciate knowing ( especially from someone who experienced a sickness or injury while touring in the Republic of Ireland) if they have free government-provided medical treatment for American Tourists.
Thanks for your kind assistance!

Hmmm ....guess it's the same as the free medical treatment the U.S. provides to Irish visitors.

Why would people expect free medical health care in a country where they do not pay taxes?

The OP needs to buy medical/travel insurance and not look for FREE care in Ireland.

You would get free emergency treatment as a visitor to Northern Ireland ...

Like Ireland, we have universal health care in our Country and know that if a tourist becomes ill and visits the emerg their bill will most likely be at a minimum $$... most developed countries around the globe do the same for their citizens. In those countries with universal health care and which we travel to, we always make sure we have extra health coverage insurance for ourselves when we travel. Protect yourself and you fellow travellers
