Renting a mobility scooter and vehicle in Ireland/N.Ireland?

Getting ready to plan a visit for Sep of this year, and cannot find any good logistics on this question. I can't obviously be the first to run into this, and hoping someone has some useful advice on how to tackle it.

Planned itinerary is flying into Dublin and then taking the express bus up to Belfast, where I would pickup the vehicle and scooter and then take the Stena over to Scotland and have a drop-off in Scotland with return airport still TBD.

Have been able to take a rental from Belfast to Glasgow as of 2023, so that should be possible, its just that my wife now needs a mobility scooter to get around here stateside, and don't want her to occupy a bench while I tour the son and daughter-in-law.

Any suggestions from someone who has had to solve this riddle?

Cheers!

I have sent off an inquiry, and will update the thread with any info. I do agree that it may be a case of renting first in NI, then returning it, and then picking up another in Glasgow or Edinburgh for that part of the trip.

I had no difficulty in taking a rental from NI to Glasgow back in 2023, one of traveling companions was able to use her work account, so I'll get details from her on what company (might have been enterprise) that was accommodating on that rental.
