We are traveling to Fermanagh, NI in June and have not been able to locate car rental options in this county. We are traveling north from Doolin/Galway and need a car to visit family history locations. Would prefer not to rent a car in Galway and pay extra to return it in Northern Ireland. Any ideas?

How are you getting to County Fermanagh , where are you planning to stay and where are you heading to afterwards?
There seem to be several companies who hire in Omagh.
• Enterprise a national company
• Gallen Vehicle Hire a local company
I've not used any of these companies and there don't seem to be any reviews for them.

We fly into Dublin and stay for several days, train to Galway and possibly renting a car in Galway to tour Doolin area. On to either Westport or Sligo, then into Northern Ireland. I see that the next message says there are 3 rental agencies in Omagh. I will check with them.

In this particular case you're probably better off just renting your car in Dublin and doing your circuit of Connemara, Donegal, and NI from there - then returning the vehicle back in Dublin. Would seem to ease your logistics a bit and greatly streamline your proposed itinerary.
Dublin airport has the largest selection of both rental car companies and vehicles in the country - including those with automatic transmission - and so prices will be lower if you rent from there.
There are no restrictions driving a rental car into NI from the Republic but you'll want to ensure that the company knows that you intend to do so (for insurance purposes).
