My husband and I are going to Ireland next fall and I have rented a car through Costco. As I was reading through RS guide book, it says some car agency won’t rent to anyone over 70. He will be 73. Has anyone had a issue with age? TIA

I am 71, and renting a car from Auto Europe (Hertz) was a non issue. Who knows?

It appears Costco uses ERAC or Alamo
The only age question either asked is 'over/under 30' ? Saw nothing on either site related to a max age.
Call if you are concerned to resolve it now and not worry for the next 10 months.

Ireland does have some age restrictions. I think that at 73, your husband is okay although there may be a surcharge.
