As a solo traveler I'm considering a retreat in Ireland. There are a wide range of options, but looking for something particular to the place, that combines heritage and wellness. Any tried and tested suggestions, or recommendations?
Typically the term 'retreat' here refers to a religious style occasion where you pack yourself off to a monastery or similar for a few days. Is this the sort of thing you're looking for?
It sounds like you are looking for something that is not religious, but more for wellness. Is that correct?
I know there are a number of yoga retreats in Ireland, but I doubt that those would combine with genealogy. When you say heritage, is that what you are looking for? It would help if you could be a bit more specific.
I was looking for a way to try to see some sites and also do some holistic/ healthy activities too. Yoga sounds good but was wondering if there was anything with more than that. Camino or pilgrimage walks also sound nice too. Thanks!
This retreat center is near where we are going to be spending some time north of Dublin this fall. It seems very unique.
That looks great, thanks!
Hope you enjoy your time there.
